Pre-tacked groove weld test assembly prepared to AWS D1.1 B-U2a-GF specifications.

Includes:

• (2) A36 steel plates – 3.25" × 6" × 1/2", beveled to 28° each side (55° included angle)

• (1) A36 backing bar – 2" × 8" × 1/4"

• Tacked with 1/4" root opening per code

Use:

• Practice for AWS D1.1 groove weld qualification
  

• One of the most common joint design for WPS and welder qualifications.

• SMAW, FCAW, or GMAW training

• Visual inspection and bend test prep
